The Scared Rabbit
Lily walks outside. She sees a rabbit. It is small. It is cute.
The rabbit sees Lily. It hides behind a tree.
Lily hears a big sound. It is loud.
The rabbit shakes. Lily knows why. The sound scared the rabbit.
Lily moves close. She gets low. She puts her hand out.
The rabbit is scared. It shakes a little more.
Lily talks to it. Her voice is quiet. She says softly, "It's okay.”
The rabbit hears. Its ears move. It looks at Lily.
It stops shaking. It comes out.
Lily holds the rabbit. She is gentle. She is kind.
The rabbit feels safe. The rabbit goes close to Lily.
Then Lily sees something. The rabbit’s fur is different. The fur has many colors.
Lily smiles. The rabbit is beautiful. And the rabbit is brave.
They sit together. They are friends.
Everything is good. Lily and the rabbit are happy.
