Hi, I'm Ms Katrina. This is a short story for kids. The story is from Winnie the Pooh.

Winnie the Pooh is a bear. In the story, Winnie the Pooh and his friend, Piglet, want to catch a Heffalump. How can they catch it?

Heffalump. H E F F A L U M P. A Heffalump is an animal in the Winnie the Pooh story. It's not a real animal.

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet and the Heffalump.

Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, and Piglet talk together. Christopher Robin says, "I saw a Heffalump today."

Then Pooh says, "I want to catch a Heffalump."

Piglet says, "I want to help you."

How can they catch the Heffalump? Pooh and Piglet talk. They want to make a big hole. The Heffalump will go for a walk. He will look at the sky and fall into the big hole.

Piglet says, "What if it's raining?

Pooh says, "The Heffalump likes to look at the sky when it's raining."

How can they dig the big hole?

Piglet says, "What if the Heffalump sees us dig?"

Piglet says, "He won't see us. He likes to look at the sky."

Pooh says, "It's not easy to catch a Heffalump."

Piglet says "Heffalumps like honey. We can put honey in a jar. The Heffalump will eat the honey. Then he will get stuck in the hole."

Pooh says, "That's a good idea."

Piglet says, "Let's put an apple in the jar."

Pooh says, "I don't have any apples. Let's put honey in the jar."

They dig a hole. Then they put honey in a jar. They put the jar in the hole. Then they go home.

Pooh goes to bed. But he wakes up at night. He's hungry. He looks for his jar of honey. Where is the jar of honey?

He walks outside, then he falls into the big hole. Pooh is stuck. Oh, no!

In the morning, Piglet goes to the hole. He sees something in the hole. Maybe a Heffalump is in the hole. Piglet is scared. He runs away. The end.
